I see your point completely but i do have to disagree on some things. First off Sherlock Holmes is not a character most Americans are familiar with (excluding the new movies)and House is most definitely not a true Holmes character. He may be loosely based on him in some ways but he is a totally different person who too most people would be the first to compare to Sherlock Holmes.

Also, Moffat and Gattiss although may not be the first who have done a ‘modern Sherlock’ (though I’ve yet to see any others) they are the ones who have elaborated the story the most to create a truly 21 century character.

As for the the stage Sherlock i am assuming your referring to the Baker Street musical, which while is an American production, did have British consultants working on it to ensure accuracy of the original canon. The musical is not a very popular show, being that it did not catch on in AMERICA. I only know of it because of a serious interest in the original Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stories. This also applies to the ‘genderswapped’ movie that CBS put out as it truly was not a popular program.

While i do respect your opinion i do ask that you try to be slightly more accepting to my opinions as this is MY blog and I can cry over my “homoerotic angst” wherever the hell I want too.

….LOL. BRB, SOMEONE’S ABOUT TO GET A SMACKDOWN.
