So soon!
Midnight’s just around the corner! I’m just lucky I have Wifi here; I’m down to my last leg for the internet on my phone and I still need it for another nine days. It’s pretty awesome here at Madame Tussauds with their wax figures everywhere. I’ll post some pictures when I get back home.
Right now I’m off to get tipsy on a quarter cup of rum. I dont’t...

Oh thank goodness, back on my computer.
Don’t get me wrong, I had a great time today. I was awake at 830 and was ready to go before everyone else in my family which is bizarre since I’m not even a football fan. We went to a restaurant and tail-gated. I don’t quite understand the concept and I was bored the entire time (This was when I posted my ‘Tumblr. Save me.’ post from my phone).
The game was...
Tumblr. Save me.
There is only football talk going on and I have nobody to relate too. I’m pretty much chilling by the wall, messing with my phone in an attempt to amuse myself.

Heading off to New York.
My brother has a football game up there tomorrow and then we’re heading to Time Square for New Years. Going to be the first time I get to see the ball drop in New York; hopefully it’ll be fun. We’re not going to be standing in the crowd, thank god, but instead we’re chilling in a restaurant where we can apparently see Time Square. If anything, it’ll be interesting at...

Aww, yes. I just beat Assassin's Creed II.
After not playing it for about 6 months. Oh well. Now I can go straight on to Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood which I bought today. See kids? That’s called planning ahead.

The Senate finally passes the Zadroga bill. →
Well, the smaller $6.2 billion version instead of the initial $7.4 billion one. 9/11 first responders around the USA can finally get most of the health care they need after the Republicans filibustered the first draft of the bill. Instead, some of the Republican Senators were too busy bitching about the fact that they might have had to work through Christmas, like the rest of the world has the...

Fox News: We Just Can’t Help Ourselves!
Another review urged even stricter rape legislation, suggesting all sexual acts that take place without both parties’ express consent should be criminalized, even if there is no violence.
I’m confused. Is this not the definition of ‘rape’? Or at the very least ‘molestation’, and is considered a...

Oklahoma Sen. Coburn Plans To Hold Up 9/11... →
There’s word now that “Oklahoma Republican Sen. Tom Coburn will not allow a proposal that would cover health-care costs for ground zero workers to go through the Senate before Christmas” (via The Wall Street Journal’s Washington Wire blog).
Politico says ilt’s been told by Coburn that “he wouldn’t allow the bill to move quickly, saying he has...

9/11 First Responders Bill May Move Ahead This... →
While the new START treaty, the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” and the tax package put together by President Obama and Congressional Republicans have been getting most of the attention, another piece of important legislation has been on the Senate’s agenda.
And there’s word today from Sen. Kristen Gillibrand, D-NY, that the bill providing $6.2 billion to...

News Black-Out in DC: Pay No Attention to Those... →
There was a black-out and a white-out Thursday and Friday as over a hundred US veterans opposed to US wars in Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world, and their civilian supporters, chained and tied themselves to the White House fence during an early snowstorm to say enough is enough.
Washington Police arrested 135 of the protesters, in what is being called the largest mass detention in...

'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' has finally been repealed... →
In a landmark vote for gay rights, the Senate on Saturday voted to advance legislation that would overturn the military ban on openly gay troops known as “don’t ask, don’t tell.”
The 63-33 test vote all but guarantees the legislation will pass the Senate, possibly by day’s end, and reach the president’s desk before the new year.
Technically, the final...

The House of Representatives have passed the stand...
Now it’s up to the Senate to pass it and DADT will be a thing of the past. When DADT wasn’t on it’s own, it failed to pass the Senate by less than 5 votes twice; on its own, 60 votes should not be too hard to obtain, right?
That better be right Senate. Don’t make this mistake a third time.

…and the only effort she puts forth after she realises I’ve taken her off my friends list is to send one request and a single IM going ‘D: D: D: D: D:’. I’m totally over her and her so-called friendship, but I’m kind of appalled that this is all our eight years meant to her, when it took me months to finally cut her out of my life.

Repeal DADT! Sign now! →
Crossposting this everywhere.
‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ is a big issue in America today and Republicans in the Senate are trying their best to prevent it from being repealed. Yesterday, the Senate failed to remove this once more with a 57-40 vote, missing the necessary votes by 3. President Obama is asking Americans to stand up for what is right and show the Senate that we...

Foreign Languages in Stories
Does it detract from the story if the author uses foreign languages? Especially if you’re unfamiliar with the phrase/saying and they don’t specify?
I see this happen a lot in my fandoms, with Italian, Japanese and whatnot. To me, it’s kind of annoying, but it happens all the time! Half of me wishes that they wouldn’t bother, but I sort of like the authenticity of it.
What...
